CBC and Hockey Night in Canada selected Stanstead College as one of their live sites for Hockey Day in Canada 2004.  Over 300,000 hockey fans tuned in to the all-day broadcast on February 21, 2004 which included clips and live interviews from the Stanstead College arena between noon and 2 pm.   Hundreds jammed Stanstead’s chilly arena to watch and cheer on the Spartans as they battled the West Island Midget Royals to a 4-4 tie.   A visit by former Montreal Canadien and General Manager, Réjean Houle was a highlight for those in attendance.
