New Faculty & Staff
Red & White - Fall 2004/ Winter 2005

Lisa Hartman - Originally from New York City, Lisa Hartman worked most recently in Maine as a youth and family counsellor, case manager and outreach worker.  Prior to that, she worked in several different social support settings in New York.  Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Social Work and has received training in many areas, including mediation and crisis intervention. Ms. Hartman works in concert with supervisors at JFS – Jewish Family Services in Montreal. Lisa has settled into an apartment in Stanstead and works at the college full-time.

Francine Maurice - Francine is a veteran educator with over 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of public boards across Quebec.  She received her academic training at the University of Quebec in Montreal and at McGill University.  For the past six years she has taught at Massey-Vanier High School in the Eastern Townships where she specialized in teaching French as a second language, History and Leadership Development. Francine has valuable experience in leading cultural trips for students. She joins our Languages department

Jean-Jacques Prévost -
Jean-Jacques comes to Stanstead from Montreal. Educated at the University of Ottawa and the University of Quebec at Montreal, he has shown a great deal of interest in teaching French to students from different cultures in Quebec’s “classes d’acceuils.”  Jean-Jacques is particularly interested in the arts as a vehicle for teaching.  Here on a one-year maternity replacement contract, he lives on campus with his wife Erica and daughter Chiara.

Maxime Viens - Maxime comes to Stanstead as our Information Technology Support Specialist.  Maxime has experience in the Eastern Townships and Vermont as an IT Trainer and Network Administrator.  He assists in the maintenance of the college computer network, provides an IT Helpdesk for students and faculty and teaches both students and faculty how to use software and emerging technologies available on their laptop computers.  Maxime lives in Sherbrooke and is involved in the full co-curricular life of the school.

Marie-Chantal Vincent - Marie-Chantal joined us in June as the Director of Information Solutions.  Educated at the University of Sherbrooke and Collège de Sherbrooke, Marie-Chantal has vast experience in the IT field.  She has taught secondary students and adults in the Eastern Townships and has also been a consultant for private companies on the installation and application of computer systems.  Most recently, she was IT Director for Tivoly Inc., a manufacturer in Vermont.  Marie-Chantal is enthusiastic about laptop learning and the advantages of our ELP’s wireless campus learning model.  She is familiar with the mission of the college as she is a resident of Georgeville and her daughter Pascale graduated from SC in 2000.
