A major step
The decision to attend a private school in Canada, whether as a boarder or as a day student, is a major step in a student’s life. At Stanstead College, our Admissions team will guide you through the application process, answer your questions and help make the transition to Stanstead College a smooth one.
The Admissions team hosts numerous events throughout the year, including school fairs and information evenings here in our region and around the world.
Because Stanstead College looks at every student as an individual, the admission process can vary depending on the needs of the student/applicant and his or her family. However, the basic process is as follows:
- Make a general inquiry, either by phone or email and speak with a member of the Admissions team.
- The applicant and his or her family is strongly encouraged to visit the campus if at all possible. You can take advantage of a number of open houses and overnight stays we host during the year, or you can make an appointment for a visit at your convenience when the school is in session. Getting a first-hand look at our school and meeting our students is really the best way to tell if Stanstead is right for you.
- Once you decide to apply to Stanstead, you’ll be asked to complete the application forms, undergo an interview either in person or by telephone and take our admissions test.
Applications are received and assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the year. However, it is important to note that the number of available places is limited, and admissible applications submitted later in the year may be rejected due to space constraints.
