Varsity Boys Hockey captain Mark Jankowski is being eyed for the 2012 NHL draft. Mark, a Grade 12 student from Dundas, Ont., has been added to the C list of players to watch, greatly increasing his chances of being among players picked in the eight-round draft in June. Read more

Congratulations to Sarah Lefort from Ormstown, Quebec on being named to Canada’s 2011-12 National Women’s Under-18 Hockey Team. The Grade 12 student will join other young women from across the country to compete at the 2012 IIHF Women’s World Championship in Zlin-Prerov, Czech Republic from December 31 to January 7. She is one of three Quebec players on the 22-person roster. Read more

Both the Senior Boys and Senior Girls Spartans were crowned ETIAC Soccer playoff champions Wednesday, both winning overtime games at home. The girls defeated Alexander Galt 2-1 in nine-on-nine play, while the boys defeated Massey-Vanier, also by a score of 2-1 in a prolonged sudden-death five-on-five overtime. Read more
