Grade 12 Program

Each student develops a program of studies according to his or her curriculum requirements and available electives. A minimum of six 600 level courses (including English) must be selected for the Stanstead College Grade 12 Certificate.

Course offerings for Grade 12 are:

COMPULSORY:
English or AP English Literature (dedicated)

A MINIMUM OF FIVE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Calculus or AP Calculus AB (dedicated)
Statistics
Linear Algebra
Chemistry *
Physics *
Biology *
Studio Art
Français Littérature
Economics *
Environmental Science * / **
Philosophy**
Psychology * / **
Sociology**
Comparative Politics*
Human Geography * / **

*These courses follow an Advanced Placement (AP) course curriculum. Students may choose to write the AP exam in May.
**These courses are offered only if numbers warrant.

A certificate with Distinction is awarded to those who obtain a 80% average. A certificate with Great Distinction is awarded to those with an average of 85%.
