Junior Science Fair 2007

Thirty junior students took part in the annual Junior Science Fair held Thursday, February 22, 2007. The judges had their work cut out for them but in the end awarded the following winners by grade:

Grade 7

1st Mitchell Goodyear and Campbell Wolfe: Crazy Crystals

2nd Maximilian Daniel and Ryan Smith: Stress Tests for Bridges

Grade 8

1st Maxime Cadrin: Let the Sun Shine!

2nd Diego Gonzalez Rios and Mauricio Pardinas Gutierrez: M&M's and Color Preference

3rd James Vassilakis and Blanche Du Sault: We be Gell'in

Grade 9

1st Phoebe Miller and Angela Squillante-Evans: Effects of Tree Thinning on Horizontal Growth of Red and White Pines

2nd Nick Bauer and Daniel Suh: What is the the best insulating material?

3rd Jae Yeon Hwang and Kyle Lim: Are you spending too much on your paper towels?
