It’s a pleasure to welcome you to the Ninth Annual Stanstead College Senior Boys Invitational Hockey Tournament. I look forward to meeting you over the course of the weekend and hope that you will enjoy your stay with us. This tournament has always provided very exciting competition, and I know that this weekend we’ll see some of the very best school hockey played in Canada and the United States.

Special thanks go to Dugie Ross for once again planning and organizing this tournament. Thanks also to André Simard, the College’s Director of Athletics and to our coaches Mike McNamara and James Rioux for their assistance and support. There is an enormous amount of work involved in a large tournament such as this and I sincerely appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in making it such a great success.

Welcome to the Ninth Annual Stanstead College Invitational Senior Boys Hockey Tournament. I look forward to seeing some great hockey and sportsmanship this weekend.

Thank you to Mike McNamara and James Rioux, our senior boys hockey coaches, who contribute so much of their time to the many details of recruiting, organizing and coaching in the hockey program at Stanstead College. Thank you to Dugie Ross and all of the parents, friends, and sponsors who have helped and/or pledged their support prior to and during this weekend. Thank you to Liz Getty and Ross Murray for their work on the program and website. Thank you to Eugene Béasse and Walter Pokora, the referee coordinators. Thank you to Dr. Guy Charette and our school nurse, Milène Boudreau, for looking after medical coverage throughout the weekend. Thank you to the faculty, staff and students who have helped in many ways, and especially those who have acted as minor officials in a cold and often thankless task. Finally, thank you to Marc Parent and the arena staff who work hard to prepare and upkeep the arena for our teams and the local community throughout the winter season.
