Approximately 200 students from elementary schools in Northern Vermont and Quebec’s Eastern Townships took part in a global journey through our school, experiencing the multicultural diversity of our student body through art, dance, music, food, costumes, games and activities.
Prepared and run by students and teacher-supervisors, pavilions represented Asia, Europe, Mexico, the United States, West Africa as well Quebec and its First Nations. Visitors also learned about the school’s Community Service programs and its involvement in Round Square, an international association of schools. The students also designed a coin, tried out musical instruments and enjoyed an international lunch.
Visiting schools were:
Coventry Village School
Derby Line Elementary
Newport City Elementary
North Hatley Elementary
École Plein Soleil, Sherbrooke
Sunnyside Elementary, Stanstead
École Jardin-des-Frontières, Stanstead
