Reds are back with a solid win in their first home game
After a three-game losing streak, the bantam boys soccer team came back strong on Wednesday with a 3-1 win against Richmond. In the first half, Richmond took the lead after a shot was deflected in front of our net. Our goaltender William Bright jumped on his right but the ball ended up behind him. A few minutes later Stanstead’s James Savory completed a wonderful individual effort and tied 1-1. At this point our team started to severely attack the Richmond defence; James Savory (again) and Max Daniel (on a header) hit the post, and finally, Jae Hyong scored from a corner kick when the Richmond goaltender dropped the ball in his net. To complete the first half, Andrew Norris scored a “top net” goal on a free kick. In the second half no goal was scored even if both team had good opportunities.

First ETIAC game a loss
Having to face adversity with only 10 players on their side, our bantam boys soccer team lost their first ETIAC league game of the year in Richmond. In the first half, our attackers were very active but missed many opportunities. After 25 minutes the score was 1-0 Richmond.
The second half was more difficult for our team since Richmond started to attack more agressively. Sean Scribner tried to stop the ball every possible way but the opponent did not give our defensive line a chance.
Final score 6-1. Andrew Norris scored the only goal for our team.
