Student of the week

She is on task and always willing to lend a hand when a classmate has a question. She offers them thorough explanations not only of the concepts, but how to apply them in real life situations. However, her appreciation of mathematics does not stop there. She always challenges herself to go one step further and does not settle for just getting it done. She is always questioning and searching for more efficient ways to solve problems. She is engaged in class and is a model student.

When tasked with a “problem solving project” last week, she worked well above the requirements of the assignment. Her appreciation and understanding of the subject matter as well as her innate curiosity and desire to challenge both herself and the assignment, culminated in a project worthy of a polished problem or example you would find in a textbook!
