Athlete of the Week: Matthew Campbell
Throwing third for the Stanstead College curling team, Matthew Campbell, a grade 11 student from Enosburg Fall, Vermont, has been a major contributor to his team’s success not only this past week but all season long.
During games, he is calm, cool and collected, and during practices he is a consistently positive influence on his teammates, many of whom are new to curling.
A true lover of his sport, showed uncommon dedication by refusing to miss a minute of action despite having knee surgery over the holidays. It was supposed to be a rebuilding year this year, but thanks in large part to Matthew’s leadership and commitment, your Spartans are fighting for first place in the ETIAC and enjoying their most successful season ever.
