Stanstead in Song
Every week, a prefect comes here and delivers a speech in front of all the school. Some are better than others, but in the end, do you really remember all of them?
Do you remember what Quentin talked about at the beginning of the year? Or even what Jo talked about a few weeks ago? Probably not. (What you probably remember though is Quentin saying grace.)

Some prefects fear talking in front of the school. I often hear people say, “I don’t want to be a prefect because you have to do a speech.” What a great excuse! You shouldn’t worry because people will probably forget about it two days later. What I’m trying to say is that, I, yes, I have remembered all the prefect speeches since I have been here.
When I was in Grade 9, Thomas Abbott talked about taking chances; Will Label talked about the importance of sports in school. Momoko about being an international student. When I was in Grade 10, Alex LG talked about enjoying the moment. Now, I could go on and on and name all the speeches, but I would be lying because I don’t actually remember them either.
Now all of this is to say that if you have to listen to one speech, it’s this one! (I’m just kidding.) What I want to share with you guys today is my experience at Stanstead and how you all made it better. I tried to figure out something different. Something no one had done before. So I decided to turn my prefect speech into a prefect song. I hope you like it.
