The goal of this course is for students to understand the basic life forms, sexual reproduction and the importance of life-sustaining processes; to have a basic understanding of material properties, mixtures and solutions and the role they play in everyday life; to have an appreciation for the environment and the impact that human interactions plan in sustainability; and to understand how motion, simple machines and technical solutions impact the work we do.
