With over 25 years of coaching experience, Bernie has spent the last seven years coaching young women. After spending three years in Ottawa, where he turned the PWHL Ottawa Lady Sens into a perennial play-off team, Coach Pimm has spent the last four years at Stanstead College.
Including three seasons of COVID-reduced play, Bernie has led the Spartans to a record of 122-26, two NAPHA Championships, a JWHL finalist berth and Female World Sports School championship this past season. Bernie has continued Stanstead’s strong tradition of placing players on provincial teams (20), national teams (8) and NCAA Division I teams (32). The Stanstead College Spartans retained the #1 MyHockey Rankings for most of the 2021-2022 season, finishing with a record of 31-4-2 by scoring an astounding 195 goals for (5.4 gpg) versus 52 goals against (1.5 gpg). Bernie attributes this dominance to recruiting great players who take full advantage of Stanstead’s tremendous recourses. “We focus on skills required to score goals more than anything else. As a result, more and more of our players advance to become impact players at the highest levels of our game.”
