100-Day Challenge Marks Halfway Point

Head of School Michael Wolfe marks the halfway milestone of his 100-Day Challenge on Wednesday, having run a total of 600 km in his first 50 days and raising $15,200 for Stanstead College scholarships and bursaries.

Mr. Wolfe began his challenge June 3, inspired by the teachers and staff who had gone above and beyond during the last term of the school year.

“During my recent sabbatical, our teachers and staff, under the superb leadership of Acting Head Joanne Carruthers, have been putting in countless, dedicated hours to ensure that our school year could carry on in true Spartan spirit,” he wrote. “This is just one way to honour their work and to help replenish the financial aid pot so that future students will continue to benefit from an extraordinary Stanstead College education.”

The original goal of $10,000 has long been surpassed and donations are still being accepted to support deserving students, many of whom will be affected by the pandemic situation.

If you are unable to donate at this time, you can still support Mr. Wolfe and his run. Share his fundraising link or better yet, run with him! Dig out your Stanstead College gear and take a short video or photo of you running this week (until Sunday July 26) and share it to social media, tagging Stanstead College.
