Language Adventure Camp

Our Program

At Stanstead College, our summer campers learn English or French through a unique immersion program that includes classroom learning plus outdoor and cultural excursions and other on-campus activities.

Boys and girls ages 11 to 17 meet in groups of 9 to 15 to receive instruction at three levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Classroom instruction focuses on speaking, listening, reading and writing exercises. Participants become more confident in their second (or third) language by improving comprehension and developing their spoken vocabulary and grammar. Students are motivated to speak their language of study at all times in the class and while at play in order to get the most out of their camp and learning experience. At the end of camp, advanced-level students will undergo TOEFL Junior testing.

"Our daughter had a fantastic time at the Stanstead College language camp. They offer ESL and FSL for students at all levels and combine it with a great outdoor program. She was one of the younger campers (most students were between 12 and 15), but made a number of great friends from the local area and around the world. The staff and teachers were great. We were worried at first about her first camp experience, but it was smooth the whole way. Highly recommend!"
