Girls hockey at Stanstead College is recognized as one of the top prep school programs in North America. Five-time consecutive NAPHA champions, the team currently plays in the JWHL (finalists 2022, 2024, 2025). The team consists of actively recruited scholar-athletes and benefits from a dynamic schedule and outstanding coaching. All players graduate and move on to university. The very best move on to earn NCAA or U SPORTS commitments, with a number of players contributing to provincial and national teams. 

In 2024-25, the Spartans earned championship banners at the NAHA Labour Day Classic and the Tournoi Internationale in Quebec City.

  • First 20 in the Books for VG Hockey

    It has been a terrific start for the 2025-26 Varsity Girls Spartans Hockey Team. Beginning with a monumental win over perennial powerhouse Etobicoke Dolphins, the Spartans have run their record to 15-3-2 over the first 20 games of the season. This record is good for a second overall ranking in the MyHockey Rankings in North America for U22/U19 teams.

    Spartans Help Quebec U18 Bring Home Gold

    Congratulations to Team Quebec, which included eight Stanstead College Girls Hockey Spartans, on their championship win over Team Atlantic — and yet another Spartan! — at this weekend’s U18 National Championships. This was Quebec’s first-ever win in the tournament and Atlantic’s best-ever finish.

    Ten Spartans head to U18 Women's National

    Eight members of the Stanstead College varsity and prep girls hockey teams will be representing Team Quebec at the 2025 U18 Women's National Championship to be held November 2-8 in Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South in Newfoundland. In addition, one player was named to Team Saskatchewan and a tenth to Team Atlantic.
