Yes. Regardless of where you are while in attendance, your work counts. Again, the expectation is that students make all necessary arrangements to be on campus as soon as possible.
If students are on campus, all materials will be supplied; however, if your child is doing distance learning, some simple supplies may be needed. Programs will be developed in consideration of this.
A printer is not necessary if your child is on campus; however, in order to minimize screen time for homework assignments for those doing distance learning, a printer may be beneficial.
The physical education portion of the curriculum will not be taught remotely; however, the health component of the curriculum will be made available to all.
We have developed a schedule for students on campus in class, with others learning virtually in different time zones. We also have a schedule for students on campus in class with others on campus learning virtually due to distancing regulations. Both scenarios represent hybrid learning environments to be deployed depending on guidelines from MEES and Quebec Public Health as circumstances evolve.
Accommodations will be provided whenever possible according to the psychoeducational evaluation and recommendations. These will be supported by the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) staff.
Teachers will be very cognizant of the fact that students have come from a variety of backgrounds based on the pandemic and will support every student in his or her learning needs.
Universities and colleges around the world are sensitive to the unique situation facing the Class of 2021. Like high schools, these institutions are adjusting to new ways of learning, including distance and hybrid environments. The University Guidance Department is working with our university and college partners to ensure students have a smooth and successful transition to university.
