If I had to describe my job it would be…
Excited to begin my journey at Stanstead as a French teacher, bringing the richness of my mother tongue into the classroom every day, sharing it with students to help them grow in confidence and fluency.
When I’m not working at Stanstead College, I am...
Coaching or playing lacrosse with my sons, directing a documentary or producing a numeric art project, reading some books, watching independent movies, jogging or riding a bike, learning and teaching kanien’keha language (Mohawk)
A person/book/song/place/etc. that has inspired me
Chaa Creek, Bélize
My two sons, Atshennon:nia and Kahrhi:io
My mother Suzanne
Other jobs I've had
Teaching art and engineering seminars to future engineers and scientists.
A thing you may not know about me
I directed the first documentary about Ivakkak (when the dogs are at their best pace) in 2001, a race to promote traditional dogsledding and revive the endangered Canadian Inuit dog in Nunavik. I have also done some extreme kayaking and walking on the Innu land of Manicouagan crater, one of the largest impact craters still preserved on the surface of our planet, to shoot a documentary about 210 million years of astronomical, ecological and historical upheavals.
What I’m looking forward to the most at Stanstead College
Seeing my students challenging themselves in academics and sports to become better human beings and better citizen of the world.
