Giving Tuesday Recap: $65,750 Raised!

Alumni, parents, staff and friends of Stanstead College came together on Giving Tuesday, November 28, to raise $65,750 for the Annual Fund, easily surpassing this year’s $50,000 target.
The Annual Fund supports scholarships and bursaries and enhances programming by funding initiatives not necessarily covered by tuition.

This year, the majority of the gifts – 73.4% – were applied to the greatest need. Other donors chose to specifically support athletics, the music program and academics.

Our Advancement Department campaigned throughout the day via social media appeals and direct contact with some of our alumni.

“Giving Tuesday is a day when people are encouraged to think about and support the charities they believe can make a difference,” said Director of Advancement Jesse McRae. “We’re truly grateful that so many people decided they believe enough in Stanstead College and its mission to take the time to donate. I thank you and our students thank you.”

In fact, our students spent an evening recently signing Christmas cards, thanking our donors over the past year. Supporters should look for theirs in the mail.

With the end of the year drawing near, it’s not too late to support the Annual Fund to receive a tax receipt for 2023. Donations can be made online, by phone (819) 876-7891 ext. 225, or by mailing us your information. E-transfers can be sent to donate@stansteadcollege.com.
