This penultimate league game of the season was one that will long be remembered. Was it a great victory? A close victory? A great story or lesson? No. None of those. Just a weird event. Early in the first quarter the scoreboard had the wrong score. The same thing happened in the second quarter, and that time it took a lot of convincing to get our correct points on the scoreboard. One four-point swing was enough, this one was stopped. 1Q Score: SC 8 - SemSal 4

So we officially had 8 points with Erika chipping in 5, SarahL 2, Clara 1 and Julia some amount between 2 and 6?? In the second quarter, there was more of the same. The individual scoring showed 2 by Zoey, Clara and SarahL so 14 total, one would think, but no – the scoreboard showed 18 for us and 9 for them. Perhaps those ghost Julia points had re-appeared? 2Q Score: SC 18 - SemSal 9
We added 12 points in the third quarter - 6 from Erika, 3 from Julia, 2 from Olivia and 1 from Elizabeth. 3Q Score: SC 30 - SemSal 19
In the fourth quarter we again chipped in a dozen – Clara with 4 and each of Miranda, Julia, SarahL and Elizabeth with 2. Final score: SC 42 - SemSal 27 An interesting footnote from this game was that Erika led the squad with 11 points by shooting nicely and also getting to the basket where she went 5/7 from the free throw line.
