Spartans Hockey Alumnae Making Moves

Three former Varsity Girls Spartans are in the news as they continue to pursue their hockey careers.

Rosalie Tremblay (2026) is among 48 players invited to Team Canada’s national women’s team training camp October 8-14 in Quebec City. Rosalie is among the youngest invitees, which include 18 players who won a silver medal at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

Following camp, a roster will be selected for the 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship, starting Nov. 6 in Denmark.

Rosalie is currently playing at University of Wisconsin, where she notched one goal and one assist in the Badgers’ first game of the season against St. Lawrence.

She is the youngest player invited to the October training camp.

Rosalie was the Liz Turgeon Player of the Year award in the JWHL (Junior Women's Hockey League); team assistant captain and Canadian Player of the Tournament at the 2026 U18 World Championship. In 2024 and 2025, she was Team Quebec captain for the U18 Canadian National Championship and was named tournament MVP in 2025.

Two other Stanstead hockey alumnae are pursuing their careers in Europe – both on the same team. Laurence Frenette (2021) has joined SDE HF in Stockholm, Sweden, part of the Swedish Women's Hockey League.

Laurence spent three years at Clarkson University before completing her final two years at Quinnipiac. She had her best season in 2025-26, recording 29 points in 41 games.

Laurence will be joined on SDE HF by former teammate Alexia Moreau (2021). She too had her best offensive season at Holy Cross, with 13 goals in 35 games. She is the school’s all-time leader for the Hockey East era in goals scored (37), points (66), game-winning goals (13), power play goals (13), faceoff wins (1,174) and game played (136), while standing fifth in assists (29).
