Athlete of the Week: Grayson L., Senior Boys Soccer

Last week, the senior boys soccer team headed to Port Hope, Ontario for the CAIS National Tournament. Grayson L. (Grade 11, Newport, Vt.) played a heck of a tournament, backstopping the Spartans to two wins and three losses (one on penalty kicks) and an 11th place finish out of 24 teams from across Canada. Highlights included numerous remarkable saves against perennial CAIS powerhouse St. Andrew’s College, a key save in the penalty shootout against Hillfield Strathallan College, and two more penalty shootout stops against Royal St. George College in the Silver Division semi-final. Grayson is certainly hitting his stride as he leads the Spartans into their final league games this week and ETIAC playoffs next week. For his incredible performance this past weekend, Athlete of the Week, from senior boys soccer, Grayson .
