Varsity Hockey Players of the Month - September

 

Pénélope Lavoie (defence) is one of the most complete players to ever sport a SC Spartan jersey. While she possesses an unreal shot from the point and has scored key goals for us this year, she is by far the toughest player to play against on any team, anywhere.  Pénélope is tough, gritty and powerful, she kills offence and starts transition better than any player we've ever had. 

Our offensive and defensive players of the month for September know a little bit about what makes the other guy click. Aaron Chipp has paced our offence and finished the month as the goal leader, while Logan Foote was a solid two-way presence, strong in zone, but effective in his puck movement resulting in 9 assists from the back end. It is hard to believe, but these two Halifax, Nova Scotia have been teammates in all their years of hockey and have attended the same schools through both elementary and high school.
