Athlete of the Week: Rafaelle Parent
The first Athlete of the Week of 2025-26 school year is a first-year striker on the senior girls soccer team. Four days ago, Rafaelle Parent (Grade 9, Dieppe, NB) led the team in scoring at the Stanstead Invitational Tournament. Three days ago, she ran 26 laps for Terry Fox -- yes that’s a full marathon. Two days ago, she was so sore she actually COULD NOT WALK. But yesterday, somehow, only 24 hours later, she limped through warmup, shook off the pain and on GUTS and GRIT put the team on her back, scoring both goals in a comeback 2-1 win over Massey Vanier, including the game winner with 8 minutes left. When we use the word Spartan at this school, it means someone who GIVES, as much as they can, to as many things as they can. Rafaelle did just that. Your Athlete of the Week, from senior girls soccer, a talented goal scorer but even more importantly a true Spartan, Rafaelle Parent!
